I have 18 years of financial services experience as an Adviser helping personal and corporate clients. I have also held senior management positions, most recently as a Director at Barclays Wealth working in the Private Bank.
It is essential that my clients have peace of mind regarding the skills and technical knowledge of their chosen and trusted Adviser, consequently I have worked hard to achieve Chartered status with my profession. Knowing that I am highly qualified is important to my clients but is only half the story. Over the last 18 years, experience has taught me that trust and a strong understanding of my client's objectives, creating a mutual desire to succeed in completing them, are the fundamental building blocks of a great, long-term client experience.
Prior to joining the financial services sector, I worked for a number of years in retail management. I joined Standard Life as an Adviser in 1999, where I was given a strong grounding in holistic financial planning covering all aspects of retirement planning, investment planning, estate planning and family protection.
I joined Barclays in 2013 in the International Bank. This gave me a thorough understanding of the needs and concerns of international investors together with possible solutions to help them achieve their objectives. Moving to the Private Bank within Barclays ensured a greater exposure to a wider range of alternative tax efficient investment vehicles including areas such as Business Relief. I now feel that I have a wide range of experience and solutions to fit most of my clients' needs.
Fundamentally I see my approach as one of problem-solving for my clients. As a result, my clients can expect to receive the most comprehensive and appropriate advice at all times.
